Mixed Media Layout – Together

22 Jun

Hello!

It has been a super long while since I had updated this blog… and here I am sharing a layout which I had just completed last night to participate in the Once Upon A…Sketch June Challenge and Craft Hoarders Challenge #10

This is the Once Upon A…Sketch used:

OUAS June Sketch

Together_Layout

First, I applied a layer of clear gesso to the Blue Fern Studio Ombre Dreams: Susan’s Dream patterned paper. Then, I did a random spraying of the Mister Huey’s Classic Tan and pour some Mister Huey’s Powder Blue from center of page to let it drip to bottom of the page.

Next, I applied some textured paste over a punchinella. Once it is dried, I stamped a wording stamp on them and applied some distress ink over that area.

It’s time to do the layering and putting all the embellishments together.
I used assorted Prima flowers, wooden buttons, skeleton leaves, natural wood mini frames, papers from stash etc etc…

The Hexagon shaped sentiments are created using the Pink Paislee Sentiments Series stamps.

Cat2

Journaling is done on the manila tag tucked into the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Kraft Glassine Pocket. I wrote about the experience of encountering these two cats hugging each other for warmth.

Some of the mists, inks and embossing powders I used in this project.

This project is also inspired by Jelissa Mei‘s mixed media works.
Check out her blog and youtube videos to be inspired too.

Thanks for popping by. : )
