Personalised Card Envelopes…

26 Jun

Hey there..

I shared a wedding card envelope I made for a colleague a couple of months back..  and today I am to share a few more which I had made…

Chip and Dale theme

Hot Air Balloon theme

Hello Kitty theme

I have included manila tags for personal messages.

When it’s tough to decide what gifts to buy for a special occasion, gift vouchers or cash seems to be a practical choice.  It allows the recipient that freedom to get what they need. A personalised card will bring about the sender’s  thoughtfulness and effort in the gift giving. And the card will serve as a memento to the recipient. : )

Thank you for popping by!

Have a great day ahead! : )

Mother’s Day theme “Waterfall” Card cum mini album

14 May

Hi there

It’s been a long time since I updated this blog and / or join a challenge. Haha..

Today here I am joining the Crafts Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #7.

The challenge theme is “Ribbon, Lace and Twine, Oh My!

And below is a “Waterfall” card aka mini album I completed last night. It was a request I received from a girl to make it for her mother for a belated Mother”a Day.

Mother’s Day in Singapore is celebrated on the second week of May and last Sun, 11 May was the day where we see restaurants more crowded than usual weekends and shops which sells cakes or jewelries had better sales.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers out there… 🙂

I made this easel card in response to the Mother’s Day theme for the challenges and realized that the date to celebrate Mother’s Day varies depending on the county. According to what I found online, it seems like most countries including Singapore (where I lived) celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May. That means this year Mother’s Day is fixed on 11 May 2014.

United Kingdom and a number of other countries are actually celebrating Mother’s Day this month. Check out more info at if interested to find out more.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the great women out there who have unconditionally provide care for your love ones! : )

Tag It Card!

9 Mar

Today, I am sharing a card with a tag. Whenever I use colour mists, paints etc, and there are left-overs… I will get some tags and use up the colours so as not to waste them. The tags can then be used in future projects.. Just need to add embellishments to dress it up.

For this project… I started with a clean manila tag and glided the Picked Raspberry distress ink onto the craft sheet and then sprayed some water to the ink.

I then pressed the tag down onto the watery ink. Apply more ink or spray more water to the craft sheet and press the tag again until you get the look you desire. Dry the tag with a heat gun.

Using a small foam pad, I applied the Salty Ocean distress ink around the edges of the tag.

Next, I applied Mowed Lawn Distress ink over the mini punchinella to both top left and bottom right of tag.

I stamped the sentiment onto the middle of the tag with Brilliance Graphite Black and coated it with Ranger clear embossing powder. Heat set the wordings.

Using a black ink pen, I outlined the border and blended black and shiny silver chalk ink to it.

Next step is to adhere the tag using raised foam tape to the card.

The final step was to add the ribbon and all the desired embellishments to the tag and card.

Ta-Da.. A cheery card with vibrant colours to cheer someone up. 🙂

Waterfall Card cum Mini Album

2 Mar

Hi there

I am sharing today a waterfall card cum mini album which I had learnt the technique from Island Paperie on Youtube. Check out the clip at for the dimensions and the steps.
There are many other tutorials on youtube which demonstrate this technique with some variations. Go check them out. Youtube is surely one of my greatest resource when it comes to crafting inspirations. : )

Atter the mechanism for the waterfall effect is done, allow your creativity to flow and add all the decorative embellishments and papers to dress the album up.

Below is what I had done. The size of this is approx. 5 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ (13.5cm by 14cm) when folded.

The front cover…
